I photograph weddings and events for colleges, companies and individual clients. I also make portraits on commission and take on sports and photojournalism assignments.

Prints for sale on my website are offered for personal use only. Copyright laws make it illegal to copy my prints or digital images.

I am a member of ASMP and NPPA, and proudly follow their recommendations about business practices and ethics.

Wedding Photography:

It's always an honor and a pleasure to photograph weddings. I work to capture the joy and excitement of a couple's day.

I charge $1,500 for up to six hours of wedding photography. Extra time is $300 per hour. I deliver more than 600 images on CD.

An online gallery where friends and family can view and buy prints is available for $400. A variety of albums can be purchased, starting with an album of selected 4x6 prints for $300.

Portrait Photography:

To make someone's portrait in a meaningful way, you have to be willing to spend time getting to know him.

My portrait work is all on location: I travel to my clients' places of business or homes, capturing them in their environments.

For clients such as Cazenovia College and Syracuse University, I have contracts to create portraits of athletes and students.

For individuals, my sitting fee is $150 and includes online proofing.

Event Photography:

I enjoy capturing the magic of events from private parties to graduations. Take a look at my events portfolio to see my work.

My fee starts at $400 for a two-hour private event. That includes the photography and post-production editing and Photoshop work.

I provide a CD of high-resolution images and license families to make prints for personal use. For corporate events I license images for an organization's marketing or publicity needs.

Photojournalism:

My images appear in national and local publications. I also work on my own documentary projects.

I like discovering and telling stories, whether it's with pictures, text, or both.

I spent five years as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and the Plain Dealer, of Cleveland. I enjoy working on deadline and understand the importance of fairness and accurate captions.

Sports Photography:

I photograph for college athletics departments, including Herkimer CCC and Cazenovia College. I license the colleges to use my images in promotions and publications.

I also photograph high school sports when I'm hired by parent groups. My fee is $360 to concentrate on up to four athletes. Parents receive a CD of photos for personal use.

I post my sports images to online galleries so athletes and their families can buy prints.

Ordering prints:

Once you've found an image you like, look at the top right corner of the photo. Click on the words "Buy this photo" and follow the directions.

If you'd prefer to pay with a check and your order will be larger than $50, you're welcome to call me at (315) 863-3487 and I'll help you.

My digital images are printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive photographic paper, also used to print film negatives. They look like traditional prints and will last as long. Not happy? You'll get a refund.

Prints are for personal use only. Copyright laws forbid you to sell or copy them.

Equipment:

Cameras don't take pictures; people do. But good equipment makes a difference.

I use Nikon's D2X and pro lenses. I always travel with a second camera, extra lenses and complete lighting equipment.

Taking a good picture requires timing, attention to composition, lighting, experience and complete control of equipment. My clients don't hire me because I have expensive gear. They hire me because I will create the images they need.
